A Ready For Anything® accessory
An NTC temperature probe for the COMFORT V2 — USB-C, 1.5m. For pipe surface temperature, cold store monitoring, or ambient readings in confined spaces where the sensor body cannot be physically located.
USB-C connection · 1.5m cable · NTC probe · Pipe surface and ambient · Works with COMFORT V2
What this accessory does on site
The COMFORT V2 measures ambient temperature at its mounting location. The temperature probe extends that measurement to a point up to 1.5m away — a pipe surface, the inside of a cold store, a duct, or a confined void where the sensor body cannot fit.
When the probe is connected, the COMFORT V2 reports both the internal ambient temperature and the probe temperature in the same LoRaWAN uplink. In Niagara, both values appear as separate BACnet analog input objects on the same device address. No additional LoRaWAN slots consumed. Useful for monitoring flow and return pipe temperatures in a plant room where wireless deployment is preferred over a wired PT100 or thermistor input.
Compatibility
- Requires TEKTELIC COMFORT V2 sensor body
- USB-C connection — plug and play, no configuration required
- Probe temperature reported as a separate property in the COMFORT V2 uplink payload
- Both ambient and probe values available as BACnet objects via KONA gateway embedded LNS
Why this accessory is Ready For Anything®
🟢 Ready for Today
- Pipe surface temperature, wirelessly — ±0.5°C — clip the NTC probe to the pipe; flow and return temperature reported as BACnet analog objects in Niagara without a wired PT100, without a wiring centre change, without an electrician
- Two temperatures from one LoRaWAN slot — COMFORT V2 reports internal ambient and probe temperature in the same uplink; two BACnet objects, one device address, no additional gateway capacity used
- 1.5m cable for placement flexibility — mount the sensor on the wall or a bracket; reach the pipe surface without the sensor body touching the pipe
🔵 Ready for Change
- Extends COMFORT V2 without hardware swap — plug in the probe and it appears in the uplink immediately; no new device, no Niagara reconfiguration
- Swap probe types as the application evolves — replace with a moisture probe or rope if the monitoring need changes; same USB-C port, same sensor body
🔗 Ready for Integrations
- Works within the existing TEKTELIC stack — COMFORT V2 plus KONA gateway plus Niagara; probe temperature appears as an additional BACnet analog object on the existing device
- Practical use cases — flow/return on heating circuits, cold store pipe, duct surface where cable routing is not viable
Requires TEKTELIC COMFORT V2 sensor body. Contact sales@innon.co.uk for compatibility queries.
