A Ready For Anything® building block
The current generation VIVID — enhanced PIR coverage, environmental monitoring, and LoRaWAN reporting in one device, commissioning directly into Niagara via BACnet.
IP65 rated · LoRaWAN Class A · BACnet native via KONA gateway · EU868 / US915 · Up to 10 years battery life
The problem this product exists to solve
The VIVID V3 is the current generation occupancy and environmental sensor from TEKTELIC. It builds on the V2 with improved PIR detection range and angle, refined environmental sensing, and the same LoRaWAN-to-BACnet architecture that commissions cleanly into Niagara without middleware.
One sensor. One LoRaWAN slot. Multiple BACnet objects in your supervisory layer — presence, temperature, humidity, light, contact, and shock. If you are specifying new sensor infrastructure for a project, this is the current part to use.
Why the VIVID V3 is Ready For Anything®
🟢 Ready for Today
- Enhanced PIR field of view — improved detection range and angle over V2; fewer blind spots in open-plan spaces and meeting rooms
- Temperature, humidity, light, contact, shock — all reported in a single LoRaWAN uplink; one BACnet device address, multiple measurable properties
- Up to 10 years battery life — deploy, commission, and leave it running for the project lifecycle without a battery replacement programme
🔵 Ready for Change
- IP65 rated — suitable for plant rooms and non-conditioned spaces as well as standard office environments
- Current production model — actively manufactured and supported; not a legacy part; stock and long-term supply confirmed
🔗 Ready for Integrations
- BACnet output via KONA embedded LNS — Niagara 4 sees it as a standard BACnet device; no driver development, no middleware, no custom codec
- Compatible with TEKTELIC KONA Micro and Enterprise gateways — the complete INNON stack; one supplier, one conversation, one commissioning path
A few things worth knowing before you deploy
- Enhanced PIR field of view over V2 — wider detection angle and improved range; fewer blind spots in open-plan spaces and larger meeting rooms; specify V3 when room size would require multiple V2 units
- Shock and impact detection — onboard accelerometer reports physical disturbance events; useful for detecting unauthorised access to plant enclosures, cabinet doors, or equipment that should not be moved
- Twist-off tool-free mount and battery access — no tools required for installation or battery replacement; a maintenance visit to swap a battery takes minutes per sensor, not an hour
- OTA firmware updates — update the sensor remotely; no site visit required to apply new firmware or reconfigure thresholds post-commission
