01Innon Energy
Innon Energy update
Milesight-SMS is end of life and unsupported. Teltonika-SMS, Weather API and Quick API remain supported and in development. The Innon LoRaWAN driver helps integrate gateway data into Niagara 4, and the new Dashboard and PX betas are open.
02Platform update
Milesight 3.0.3
Revocable remote links and a battery calculator arrive. Existing access links must be regenerated after the update.
03Partner update
iC Niagara gains LTS
A partner notice introduces iC Niagara 4.15.5 LTS, with the MAC36NL to MAC36PRO migration path now effective. Check model eligibility and package availability before planning upgrades.
04Building case study
VUB heating retrofit scales up
2,000 Vicki TRVs feed a BACnet BMS in one university building, with 200 air-quality sensors alongside. MClimate reports 31.5% savings over a heating season.

Lifecycle, live modules and beta
The current Niagara 4 module portfolio, at a glance.
End of life: the Milesight-SMS module is no longer supported. This does not affect the modules below.
-
Teltonika-SMS: SMS over IP for Niagara 4 alarm routing, for RUT241, RUT951 and RUT956. Developed and supported.
-
Weather API: the INNON Weather Provider for Niagara Weather Service. Developed and supported.
-
Quick API: a REST API module that processes and sorts JSON responses. Developed and supported.
-
LoRaWAN Driver: integrates LoRaWAN sensor data into Niagara 4, compatible with UG56, UG65, UG67 and LNK-T10-IP-SM gateways. Available now.
-
Dashboard service and PX widgets: in beta. Email support@innon.co.uk to try them and shape the development.

Milesight · Development Platform
Platform 3.0.3
The 21 September update, in practical terms.
- Up to 100 remote-access link groups per device, each expiring within one month.
- Passwordless WebUI access on eligible devices.
- A new battery-life calculator that estimates runtime from project settings.
- Custom LoRa AppKeys can now be set and changed.
Check first: existing remote-access links must be regenerated after the update.

Four Milesight updates to check
Security, connectivity and commissioning fixes across industrial devices. Confirm model, hardware revision and ToolBox version before applying any package.
UC50x cellular, 1.2 · 7 Sep
Fixes NFC plaintext credential exposure, pulse count and MQTT faults. Hardware 1.x; ToolBox 2.1.8+.
UR75v3 / UF51v2 · 16 Sep
Adds weak-crypto warnings and fixes known security vulnerabilities. Review CE-RED and default-password changes first.
UR3X routers, 3.0.14 · 18 Sep
Adds eSIM options; fixes ZeroTier and connectivity issues. Upgrade from 3X.3.0.10 or later. DeviceHub 2.0 is no longer supported from 3X.3.0.13, so move managed devices to Development Platform 3.0.0 or later.
UR41 / UR41L, 41.0.0.9 · 18 Sep
Fixes GPS, APN and RS485 Modbus regressions. Check the exact hardware and cellular model.

iSMA iC Niagara 4.15.5 LTS
An iSMA partner bulletin dated 4 September, with one action for MAC36NL retrofits.
The migration path transfers the existing software licence to an equivalent MAC36PRO model, using product code 07412 iSMA-B-LIC-CHG-MAC. An active SMA and a new iSMA-B-SD-PRO card are required. MAC36NL remains supported on Niagara 4 through the end of 2028, so this is a planned change, not an emergency.
Confirm the correct software package and backup steps before upgrading.

Vicki connects to a BACnet BMS
One university building, measured results.
MClimate describes one VUB building with 2,000 Vicki TRVs and 200 third-party air-quality sensors, all integrated into a BACnet BMS. The reported result: a 31.5% energy saving over one heating season.
A useful proof point for the next conversation with a building owner about what connected controls deliver.

RutOS 7.25 broadens control
A 16 September update plus two product change notices to heed.
The update adds a live Data to Server status view, BLE auto-pairing, a Zabbix agent, more TR-069 parameters and Modbus voice-call actions. Feature availability depends on device family.
TAP400: older firmware needs a 7.25.x bridge before moving to 7.26+.
Read the PCN ↗
TRB140: affected Q4 modem hardware requires 7.24.5+ and cannot downgrade. Order codes stay unchanged.

TEKTELIC expands metering reach
A partnership announcement, not a new hardware specification.
On 7 September, TEKTELIC announced a collaboration with IoT Kreasi Indonesia on large-scale LoRaWAN connectivity for water-meter monitoring across Indonesia.
Treat it as direction of travel rather than a product to quote: a collaboration is not yet a measured deployment outcome.

Remote access needs governancePlatform links now have expiry and revocation controls. Your access process needs an owner.
Firmware prerequisites matterMultiple vendors specify model, ToolBox and intermediate-version checks. Skipped prerequisites turn a 20-minute upgrade into a day of troubleshooting.
BMS integration stays strongThe VUB project pairs LoRaWAN room devices with BACnet: the hybrid architecture more buildings are moving to.
Partnerships need scale evidenceA collaboration is not yet a measured deployment outcome. Wait for the numbers.
